Equipoint Unauthorized to Use Suze Orman’s Image

Equipoint Financial Network Inc. has been sending mail to Oregonian seniors with Suze Orman’s photo. Suze never authorized the use of her photo and she is considering legal action against the Californian company, which is using her image to advertise reverse mortgages. Skeptical recipients reported the mailings and The Oregon Division of Financial and Corporate Securities has said that they have violated rules against deceptive marketing of mortgage products.
The company has not responded to letters requesting that they alter the mailings.
